San Francisco Voice and Swallowing

Kristen Bond, MM, MS, CCC-SLP

Director of Speech-Language Pathology

Ms. Bond (she/they) was lucky to grow up in a family that encouraged her musical and theatrical interests from a young age. She grew this childhood love into degrees in vocal performance at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (BM), and then at the University of Minnesota (MM).

While receiving vocal instruction from master performers, Ms. Bond developed a budding interest in vocal pedagogy, and a desire to someday help others achieve their vocal dreams through intuitive and pedagogically sound teaching.  Further education in Vocology through the National Center for Voice and Speech (NCVS) with Dr. Ingo Titze provided an important foundation in the research supporting techniques for vocal rehabilitation, as well as voice optimization for the elite performer.

Her combined passions for teaching, voice, and voice science blended seamlessly to her training in speech-language pathology at Emerson College (MS).  She was then fortunate to complete fellowship training in speech-language pathology with Dr. Edie Hapner at the USC Voice Center.

Ms. Bond is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Pan-American Vocology Association, and the Voice Foundation.
